Regional Demand Drives Increase in Visitor Arrivals to Eswatini - August & September Analysis

August marked the eighth consecutive month of growth in international arrivals reflecting an increase by 7.6%, to reach 92,615 visitors. This represents an additional 6,506 visits compared to August 2024, and was mainly driven by demand from Mozambique and South Africa, which markets continue to serve as Eswatini’s largest source markets.

International visitor arrivals to the Kingdom of Eswatini recorded a marginal increase of 0.7% in September 2025, reaching a total of 90,772 visitors. While modest, this growth marked the ninth consecutive month of positive momentum for the country’s tourism sector.

The Fikani Mozambique Tourism Summit 2025 held in the picturesque coastal town of Vilanculo, Inhambane Province marked a pivotal moment for regional cooperation, with Eswatini’s participation as a key member of the Triland tripartite agreement. Operating under the national theme for the year, “Mission Possible,” the initiative was designed to embody the spirit of service excellence and ensure every arriving visitor in the Kingdom felt the warmth and professional welcome the Kingdom of Eswatini is renowned for.
